AT THE HERB AND MARIAN WESTON Foundation, established in 1999, we work to extend our founders' lifetimes of effort preserving and enriching the natural life of the Great Plains region.

Our mission is to support groups that benefit animals, educate humans, and care for the environment. In approaching that task, we take a global view, but put an emphasis on the communities in which we live, and particularly on Nebraska.

From natural disasters and pandemics to the daily experience of a changing climate, we are reminded of the fragility of life and the need to support those who are at risk. The plants, animals, rivers, and skies of this great land are no exception to that need. Animals have been abused or abandoned as a result of irrational fears or disasters, and the regulations protecting the purity of our air and water are constantly under attack. So too are the freedoms to learn and teach about the environment and its history.

The Weston Foundation supports organizations that address these needs and circumstances. We do not accept unsolicited grant proposals. But do not hesitate to contact us if you have questions about our work.
